The electronic health card - the data collection toy of politics. The opinion of experts, who mostly were reluctant to approve, isn't of any interest. Resistance was run over in a way well known from various other policy fields. What data exactly will be saved where, in which way, by whom and by what means in the context of this electronic health card, and what will happen to patients' data, who will be able to access, to whom data will be sold off or not by government or other agencies - on all this, the patient has nothing but a few lukewarm promises of lawmakers in his hand. That is: nothing. What is law today may tomorrow be amended by a handful members of parliament in a 59-second process, as recently seen on youtube-video. Not to mention the risk of criminally motivated corruptibility of any law in everyday life. (2012).
